Dugout is a program put into place on Fridays at Forest City Middle School. The focus is to promote relationships between students and teachers outside of the curriculum.
Each teacher has a core group, and this group stays with that teacher all three years. It’s awesome, because it develops friendships between sixth graders and seventh/eighth graders that might not be typically formed, just because of classes and different schedules.
Dugout is meant to be fun, and they do games (like Knowledge Bowl, where groups compete and try to answer questions for points) or things like the Human Hungry Hungry Hippos!
I’m excited about Dugout. I think it’s fun and I’m glad to be a part of it!
