My name is Marisa, and I’m the owner and creator of Miss Donnelly’s Daily Apple, a blog that serves as a collection / catalog / discussion board of my teaching experiences, lessons, triumphs, activities, failures, and epiphanies as I’ve pursued my teaching degree.
Since 2011, I’ve both observed and taught in classrooms in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Naperville, Illinois; rural Northern Iowa; and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
My teaching experiences over the past four years have been rich–I’ve created many lesson plans, instructed a variety of ages and in a variety of classrooms, and completed assignments and curriculum units that have built me as both a student and a future teacher.
In May of 2015, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Waldorf College with a B.S. in Secondary English Education, a B.A. in English, and a B.A. in Creative Writing with endorsements in Secondary Reading and Coaching.
In August of 2015, I began my student teaching in Northern Iowa at Mason City High School and in October of 2015, I transferred to Forest City Middle School. Both experiences were incredible and I’m so very thankful!
I created this blog with the hope of sharing my experiences and connecting with others. I hope Miss Donnelly’s Daily Apple can serve as a resource for not only me, but also other teachers, students, parents, and even potential employers!
