What Is A ‘Primary Pod’?
Formerly “Tod Pod,” we wanted to create a more inclusive & developmentally-appropriate opportunity for our kiddos ages 3-5 (and a better name!).
As humans, we have an innate curiosity and desire to learn. . . and we believe that it’s never too early to start fostering that passion!
Our focus with the ‘Primary Pod’ is building excitement around the idea of ‘school’โfor potty-trained kiddos between the ages of 3-5โby providing a safe, nurturing, investigative, and exciting place for them to gather consistently.
We believe in socialization, child-led activities, teacher-guided projects, experiments, indoor and outdoor play, hands-on/manipulatives, arts/crafts, and games to help our little learners see that they are smart, creative, intuitive, and ready to learn!
What Are The Details?
TIME & DATES – TBD | Bay Park, San Diego
Our goal with the Primary Pod is to offer younger children the opportunity to socialize, play, create, get messy, have fun, and feel like they’re going to ‘school’ at a home (and yard!) intentionally designed for education, collaboration, and connection.
Why Only 1x Per Week?
Our ‘Primary Pod’ attendees are young, so we don’t want to subject them to any rigorous or overwhelming schedule.
By meeting 1x/weekly, our students feel like they’re headed to a scheduled playdateโbut they are also investigating concepts, exploring their worlds, and building foundations in every session!
Plus, we are supporting an easy transition to our Pre-K & Early Kinder Class, as well as our program for Kinder-1st graders and K-5 Microschool!
Our intent is to provide our ‘Primary Pod’ students with building blocks for the next step in their academic journey!
What Are The Next Steps If I Want To Join The Primary Pod?
If any of this resonates with you, let’s get in touch! We operate our Primary pod at a private residence in Bay Park, San Diego and have a cap at 8 students.
