Summer is such a freeing and special time! We were blessed with high attendance in each of our July 2023 Create & Play Summer Camp weeks, and our campers’ days were filled with friendship, collaboration, creativity, and fun!
From pirate parties, inflatable races, and playground visits, to making our own potions, our camp was unforgettable.
Camp Highlights:
- Inflatable Races – To follow our June camps, we incorporated more inflatables and our campers loved it! We did crawling races (where campers had to crawl with inflatable suits on), balance races (where two partners had to keep a gem stuck between their inflatable suits), and ‘seek and find’ (where they had to find objects in a pool – while wearing their inflatable suits). It was a total blast!
- Pirate Days – One of our big themes this month was pirates! We transformed our playground into a pirate ship and did all kinds of treasure hunts & creative role play.
- Park Play – Our July 2023 camps had a weekly park play date that everyone loved! We enjoyed being spies, climbing equipment, and being different animals on their adventures.
- Drip Drip Splash – A community favorite, this is the ole’ Duck-Duck-Goose game with water involved. There’s something fun about getting splashed on a summer day.
Other Summer Updates:
This July, our founder Marisa Donnelly attended the Alternative Education Expo, hosted by Let Them Learn! She was able to connect with likeminded families and share about homeschooling resources, programs, and happenings! Here’s a picture of her networking in action — what a great opportunity to share about what we do (and why we love it)!
