After reading “House on Mango Street,” the first section in the book, this is a great way to help students visualize the Mango Street house and compare/contrast it to their own.

This activity is fun, and also challenges students to draw out examples/evidence from the text to go along with their pictures! The kids really enjoyed coloring, and some really got creative with their pictures!
